What kind of results can be achieved?

Forma will help tighten and improve the appearance of the skin. It’s a brilliant anti-ageing treatment. You can expect the skin to look more youthful and lifted post-treatment (please see the before and after images below for reference). Forma is particularly effective on slightly younger skin. Morpheus 8 may be a better option if you have significant skin laxity.

Who is this treatment suitable and not suitable for?

Forma is suitable for all skin types and perfect for individuals seeking natural-looking results through a noninvasive treatment with zero downtime. Patients can see that their skin looks visibly smoother and more defined post-treatment, with an improvement in fine lines and wrinkles. This treatment is also perfect for those who are afraid of needles or treatment pain but want to improve the quality of their skin and reap the anti-ageing benefits. This treatment is not suitable if you are seeking a significant transformation. We often combine Forma with our lasers and facials for the best results. This treatment is not suitable if you’re pregnant.

How long does it last?

Following your initial treatment, you will then need a maintenance session every 6 months to maintain results.

What is the recovery/downtime?

Forma has very minimal downtime. All you’ll potentially experience is some mild redness post-treatment which will only last for a couple of hours. You should notice an improvement in your skin within 48 hours.

What are the side effects and risks?

Forma is a safe and relatively risk-free treatment. Patients with sensitive skin may experience mild redness post-treatment, but this would subside very quickly. The device has built-in temperature control, so your risk of burns is extremely low. Forma also ensures no fat loss happens in the area, which was previously sometimes associated with Radiofrequency in the past.

How painful is the treatment?

One of the beauties of Forma is that it’s pain-free! No numbing cream is needed.

How is it done?

Forma uses bipolar radiofrequency technology to provide skin re-modelling treatments to improve the appearance of your skin. The device causes the treated area of the skin to contract and tighten, encouraging the production of collagen and elastin, which leaves the skin looking firmer and healthier. Forma uses precise thermal temperatures to stimulate collagen production. This boosts the skin with fibres that naturally occur in your youth, leaving you with the best version of your skin. When you arrive at the appointment, your therapist will clean the skin and apply an ultrasound gel to the treated area. They will then move the device across the treated area. The treatment time is for one area, for example both cheeks. If you also want to treat your neck or forehead, this would be an extended appointment with a small extra charge as it takes longer.
